WHY ASSOS MADE IT
Building on the iconic Fuguspeer, the Speerhaube is another intelligent ASSOS-exclusive design that provides a light layer of forefoot and toe protection on the inside of your shoe. By using a perforated version of our lightest 2L SPHERE softshell, we strike the perfect balance between low-volume protection and breathability.

WHEN/HOW TO USE IT
For days that don’t warrant external toe covers or booties, but where a touch of added toe protection is a welcome defense against icy winds and lower temperatures. Pack them in a back pocket for emergency insurance in variable conditions.

FEATURED FABRICS:
We developed a perforated version of our SPHERE Ultra specifically for the Speerhaube, providing “micro holes” in our stretchy membrane-backed 2L softshell to exhaust excess heat from the foot, while still ensuring light protection from wind and road spray.

CONSTRUCTION/FIT:
A super low-volume piece at just nine grams, the Sock Cover relies on a half-sock design that covers just the forefoot and toes.
