The connection between a cyclist’s hands and the handlebar is crucial for performance, and it significantly influences the comfort and even the safety of a ride. This is more than enough incentive for us at Gore to constantly evaluate and re-evaluate our glove materials, designs and technologies, with the goal of optimizing their contribution to your riding experience. For summer 2018 we have completely overhauled the entire glove line.
New insights gathered from riders and athletes globally and new technologies have enabled us to create an entirely new and improved line with products that serve a broad range of cyclist’s needs. It goes without saying that we use our own GORE-TEX® and GORE® WINDSTOPPER® technologies to add a seasonal offering to our range, which includes road and off-road products for conditions from scorching summer days, to relentless winter cold.

Keeps the garment insulation protected from light rain or snow by using a durable light rain resistant membrane, a seam sealed construction, and a water repellent outer fabric treatment.
Minimizes the negative effect of cold wind on the garment’s insulation by using a totally windproof membrane thus protecting the body’s warmth from the chilling effects of wind.
Reduces moisture vapor build up in the garment insulation and minimizes overheating by allowing perspiration to escape easily through the extremely breathable membrane.

ROLL AND BOX
Roll and Box finger construction we are giving all cyclists which prefer long finger gloves an improved dexterity and tactile feedback by using less material, which reduces wrinkling and adds comfort through the use of strategically placed seems. Thumb, pointer and index finger receive the Roll construction which supports constant up and down movement of the fingers to use shifters or levers, the ring finger and pinky stay smooth and comfortable on the bars, supported by the Box construction.
All of our long finger gloves come with a preshaped finger construction that mimic the natural grip position of a hand on a handlebar. This enables us to use less material which reduces wrinkles that could cause irritations on the palm. Elastic materials and stitchings allow a comfortable fit even when straightening the hand.
Cyclists' needs and demands vary significantly as it relates to glove construction, padding, and performance attributes. To address this, we offer a broad variety of glove palm designs and padding levels. This minimalistic single layer palm construction allows the purest contact to the handlebars, for those who want to have maximum tactile feedback and minimal padding, while retaining glove durability.
The cut palm construction has an improved anatomical preshape of the palm to give a more comfortable contact to the bars. Less material can be used with this construction to avoid irritations of the palm from wrinkles.
The reinforced and padded palm construction gives additional comfort and offers abrasion resistance for tough rides. It helps by absorbing shocks coming from constant terrain changes, bumps or impacts from the ground and prevents hand and wrist fatigue. We use either EVA, foam or GEL for the padding which is applied to different critical zones on the palm, depending on both the type of gloves and the type of riding.
Taking your short finger gloves off after longer rides can be challenging; often times cyclists just turn the gloves inside-out to take them off, we solve this challenge by including finger loops on all our short finger gloves, which make glove removal easier, and extends the service life of the gloves by reducing stretching and strain on the seams.
All our long finger gloves come with a special conductive patch placed at the index finger to allow easy touch screen usage without taking the glove off.
